Designed and guided communications and marketing strategies for the college and the Veterinary Medical Center, which served 33,000 animal patient visits per year. Provided strategic communications planning and tactical implementation for student-led events, faculty research programs, and the Office of Advancement, which included fundraising and alumni affairs. Directed web content, managed media relations and social media, developed and implemented promotional plans for college initiatives, as well as programs in partnership with other health science colleges and affiliated colleges across the university.

Planned and managed local recruitment strategies for the largest-ever national women’s health study, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. Hired and trained recruitment staff in clinical trials procedures. Implemented direct mail and media relations campaigns in 15 Central Ohio counties. Conducted presentations about women’s health and the study to groups ranging from one to 200 women. Recruited 3,400 women to participate in WHI during two-year recruitment period. Managed staff of nine.
